Stepping Out In Faith

Stepping out in faith.  We frequently won’t move in faith because we can’t see what we are moving towards.  Hebrews 11:1 says that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  When God calls us, we must go.  He doesn’t have to give us all the info involved.  We just go.  God will have everything taken care of.  As long as we are walking in accordance with HIS will, He’s got it covered.

I love Reinhard Bonnke.  He speaks truth and speaks it without fear.  He has a few quotes that I really like.  One of them is, “Faith is a leap into the light, not a step into the darkness.”  Many times we think that stepping out in faith is walking into the dark.  I can see why.  It’s the unknown.  But the thing is is that we often forget that God is already there.  We really aren’t walking into darkness if God is already there.  We are just meeting up with him.

We can’t stand around waiting for God to do something, though.  We can’t sit and wait on Him to make the first move.  If He calls you to do something, you have to take the first step.  One of Bonnke’s other quotes is “The ABC of faith is that as we act, God acts.”  You HAVE to step out.  Trust Him to carry you through the unknowns.  He’s already been there and has charted the course.  And when you are facing a dry spell in that walk, KNOW that there’s something big coming.  He’s going to shake your world upside down (in a good way) if you just let Him.  2 Corinthians 5:7 says, We live by faith, not by sight.  Besides, if you had all the details, would you still go?

So, take that step of faith in what he’s calling you to do.  Trust Him.  He’s the one in charge.  Always has been and always will be.  Trust that he has it taken care of for you!  Take that step!  =)  Be Blessed!
